Your child’s online privacy and safety are very important to us. This direct privacy notice describes our practices involving the online collection, use, and disclosure of personal information obtained from children under the age of 13 (each, a “Child” or collectively “Children”) in connection with the Future English Academy - Online!  educational service.

Before your Child can use the Future English Academy - Online site, we obtain your consent to our online collection, use, or disclosure of personal information obtained from your Child as set forth in this notice and in our Children’s Privacy Policy. To consent, you must agree to this direct notice and provide a credit card or bank wire transfer payment for your Child’s use of the Future English Academy - Online Site. We will not collect, use, or disclose any personal information from your Child if you do not provide your consent.

What Information Do We Collect from Your Child?

We collect personal information from your Child when he or she uses the Future English Academy Site. Please note that your child’s participation in the Future English Academy - Online! Site is never conditioned upon the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the activity. The Future English Academy - Online! Site enables your Child to communicate directly with tutors, but the Future English Academy - Online! Site does not otherwise provide your Child the option or ability to share personal information with others or make it publicly available.

For your Child to access and use the Future English Academy - Online Site, you will be required to create a sub-account under your own account and log your Child into such sub-account. When creating a sub-account for the Future English Academy - Online Site, we may ask that you provide us with your Child’s first name, gender, year of birth, and English language comprehension level.

After you log your Child into his or her sub-account, we (and in some cases our service providers) collect personal information from your Child both directly and automatically. More specifically, we collect:

Profile data updates: your Child may edit his or her name, English proficiency level, age range, and avatar within his or her sub-account.
Tutoring activity data including
video records of your Child’s sessions with tutors, and messages between your Child and tutors. Future English Academy tutors may  capture this so that tutors can review and communicate with your child about his or her English learning progress.
persistent identifiers, including cookies, IP addresses, MAC addresses, and data associated with web beacons, which we use to provide and improve Future English Academy - Online, for error logging, for analytics, and to collect usage information, and information about your Child’s browser software and operating system, device type, and similar information. Like many websites, the Future English Academy- Online! Site does not currently respond to “do not track” browser headers. However, you can take steps to limit cookie tracking by erasing cookies from your Child’s computer or other device and by setting your Child’s browser to block all cookies or warn the Child before a cookie is stored. However, if you choose to block or delete cookies, certain features of the Future English Academy- Online! Site may not operate correctly.
How and with Whom Do We Share Information from Your Child?

We may share or otherwise disclose the personal information we collect from your Child as described below and in the Future English Academy Privacy Policy:

Tutors: As part of the Future English Academy - Online Site, children can schedule and take lessons with tutors through video chat sessions. During the session, the tutor will receive the child’s first name and any other personal information your child shares. Children also can communicate directly with tutors outside a video chat session on the Future English Academy - Online! Site, such as through direct messages. The Future English Academy - Online! Site does not otherwise enable your Child to make personal information available to others or publicly available.
Service Providers: We share personal information with third-party service providers, contractors, or agents to assist us in making the Future English Academy - Online! Site available or to help us improve the Future English Academy - Online! Site, such as by providing video services, database hosting and data storage.
Business Transaction: In the event of a merger, sale, reorganization, capital investment, consolidation or similar transaction (or the due diligence in contemplation thereof) involving Future English Academy - Online!, the information we possess, including personal information collected from your Child, shall be transferred as a corporate asset to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email and/or post a prominent notice on our Future English Academy- Online! Site of any change in ownership or uses of your Child’s personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your Child’s personal information.
Legal Compliance: We will use and disclose personal information collected from your Child where we, in good faith, believe that the law or legal process (such as a court order, search warrant or subpoena) requires us to do so or in other circumstances where we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Future English Academy - Online!, our users and/or third parties.

We may share aggregated, de-identified data relating to activity on the Future English Academy Site with third parties or the general public. By way of example only, this may include the provision of reports regarding child engagement with the Future English Academy - Online! Site and/or English learning progress for such purposes as educational research, to evaluate the educational benefit of using the Future English Academy - Site, to improve the Future English Academy - Online! Site, or to show the efficacy and usage when marketing the Future English Academy - Online! Site. Such aggregated, de-identified data will not contain any personal information from your Child.

We do not share or disclose your Child’s information for marketing purposes, including to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Parental Controls

As a parent or guardian, you will have oversight and control of your login details and access to your Child’s Future English Academy - Online! sub-account. You are encouraged to log in to your Child’s sub-account to view all of his or her activities and progress at any time. You may also contact Future English Academy - Online! to review the type of information collected from your Child or change your consent. You may also ask us at any time to stop collecting personal information from your Child and request that we delete any information we have already collected. However, such requests may result in termination of your Child’s access to and use of the Future English Academy- Online Site.
